Zig and Zag October
Ages 6 to 8
Fifty one October pages for kindergarten through second grade. A grown-up reads the fact. Your child does the job.

By the end of this
- Your child can color Zig and Zag in an October scene
- Your child can say which October days are official and which are just for fun
- Your child can count slices, seeds, and stars
- Your child can follow a maze from the top door to the bottom door
Your child is ready for this if they
- Can hold a crayon
- Can listen to one sentence
- Can count to 10 with a grown-up
That list matters more than the age we printed on it. You know which of the two is true of your child.
Zig and Zag are in the pictures: pizza night, a fire truck, an apple orchard, a ship, a taco kitchen, and a Halloween yard. Each page teaches one fact, then gives one job. Circle, sort, count, match, or number the steps. Pages with room left have a word find or a maze. The grown-up key is its own page.
