Parts of Speech Worksheets: 25 Greek Myth Grammar Lessons, Grades 3-5

Twenty five lessons. One pencil. The oldest stories in the world. This is the complete Parts of Speech, Told by the Greek Myths as one letter size PDF.

Three pages of Parts of Speech Worksheets: 25 Greek Myth Grammar Lessons, Grades 3-5, laid out as they print
The first pages, as they print at home

By the end of this

  • Your child can name the job any word is doing in a sentence, and say why it is doing it
  • Your child can tell an action verb from a linking verb using a test they can run out loud
  • Your child can choose between an adjective and an adverb, and between its and it's
  • Your child can label every word in a whole sentence with all eight parts of speech

Your child is ready for this if they

  • Read a short paragraph on their own and can say what it said
  • Know that a sentence opens with a capital letter and closes with a mark
  • Will write a sentence of their own rather than only fill in a blank

That list matters more than the age we printed on it. You know which of the two is true of your child.

Nouns through interjections, then the sentence, then a passage labeled word by word. Every question is answerable from its own lesson. The answer key sits at the back.

Sorts, matching, blanks, writing, drawing, clue-based puzzles, and a Go Outside task on every lesson.
