Bones
Ages 7 to 10
Four sheets. The skull, the ribs, the arm, and the leg. Each one names the bone and the job it does.

By the end of this
- Your child can name the cranium, the mandible, the sternum, the humerus, and the femur
- Your child can say what the ribs protect
Your child is ready for this if they
- Can listen to one page read aloud
- Can write a short answer on a line
That list matters more than the age we printed on it. You know which of the two is true of your child.
The cranium covers the brain. The ribs curve around the heart and the lungs. The upper arm bone is the humerus. The thigh bone is the femur, the longest bone in the body. The answers are on the grown-up page at the back.
